In collaboration with the two New Hampshire board certified avian specialists, CAVES offers full Emergency service to exotic and pocket pets. Some of the exotic and pocket pets seen at CAVES for emergency treatment include ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, birds and reptiles.

Drs Messenger, DABVP (Avian) and Dutton, DABVP(Canine & Feline), DABVP (Avian) have upgraded and enhanced our staff skills and experience in handling critical care and life support for exotic pets.

 Services offered

• Critical care and life support including IV/IO catheterization, oxygen support, nebulization, nutrition, medication, pain management and hospitalization/incubator.
• Obtain diagnostic material and run in-house tests when appropriate.
• Evaluate CBC, profile, cytology, and culture result.
• Drs Messenger and Dutton on 24/7 consultation call.
